Elective and emergency oesophagastro-duodenoscopies (EGD) and colonoscopies have been performed 7 days a week and have gained a tremendous reputation among various hospitals and physicians from where we receive regular referrals.
Highly advanced therapeutic procedures including luminal dilations, placement of stents and various methods of controlling active GI bleeding are routinely performed. In addition, endoscopic retrograde cholangio pancreatography (ERCP) procedure, which is a highly advanced technique for visualization of thebiliary and pancreatic tract, is performed regularly. The department is also involved in academics, research and public awareness events. In 2013, it has achieved accreditation with College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan for the residency training.
