Burns Unit and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery manage a comprehensive range of conditions involving congenital deformity, cancer and injury-related deformity and loss of function, as well as diverse problems such as pressure sore surgery and all types of burn injuries.
The Burns Unit is one of the leading centers in Pakistan, which manages all types of burn injuries. It has a well-equipped and dedicated operation theatre, ICU, and ward where a highly qualified team of surgeons, intensivists, and paramedical staff provide specialized care to burn patients.
Much of the more complex work is carried out in partnership with other specialties. Our plastic surgeons also reconstruct different regions of the body such as in hand and limb conditions, facial reanimation, ear reconstruction and often work very closely with orthopedic, breast, vascular, ear, nose & throat (ENT) and maxillofacial surgeons. The cleft lip and palate service operates in partnership with Smile Train, an international NGO. We are among the few nationally designated cleft lip and palate surgery centers in Pakistan.
The facility of nurse-led dressing clinics aims to provide a high standard of specialized nursing care to patients following discharge from the hospital.
